For the past 6 years, we have had the privilege of knowing how many meals were being taken each day using our site. Waking up to an email each morning that says how many meals were being delivered was a fantastic way for us to start each day.
Today, over 3,000 meals are being taken to loved ones all across the country. Over 3,000 tables will have a meal that was lovingly coordinated and prepared by a friend or family member.
Sharing in another's greatest joy or sadness by providing them with a meal nurtures the recipient in a unique way. The comfort a meal provides and the delivery by a friend is not soon forgotten. We consistently see receivers who become meal providers because getting a meal was such an encouragement to them.
Now, we want to share with YOU how many meals are being delivered on a given day. Not because the number is impressive (even though it is!), but because we want you to know that you are part of something bigger - a nurturing network that is one of the best things happening in our country and our world.
In the upper right corner of our website, you will see a map with the cities where today's meals are being prepared and delivered marked by a red heart. We hope you will enjoy the daily map, and what each heart represents.
