Plan Thanksgiving with

"Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare. They are consumed in twelve minutes. Half-times take twelve minutes. This is not coincidence." ~Erma Bombeck

Hosting and preparing Thanksgiving dinner for your family and friends is definitely a labor of love. Planning, cleaning, shopping, and cooking always take longer than you expect. If you haven't already done so, think about allowing others to pitch in and help you with the meal. The truth is that your guests really want to help, and the result is that everyone can spend less time in the kitchen and more time together. makes planning Thanksgiving dinner for your group a snap. You can specify your desired menu or you can let your guests decide. Best of all, you'll know who's coming and what they are planning to bring. In my opinion, Thanksgiving offers us the opportunity to prepare dishes that are full of memories, so I like the idea of asking guests to bring their favorite side dishes and not what I have in mind.

Epicurious has an excellent article offering host tips, guest tips, and menu ideas for Thanksgiving potlucks.
